Slam Poetry has become one of my greatest passions. The freedom of verse without any structure seems to me to be the truest form of poetic expression. As I was searching through youtube one day between classes, I found Andrea Gibson. Her words, her style spoke to me like no other song or prose had spoken to me before. It was like music wrapped up within a power truth that stunned the mind and left the soul begging for more. But I’m doing an awful job of describing her, just listen for yourself:
